The away game against VfL Bochum takes place on Friday. Kick-off at the Vonovia-Ruhrstadion is at 20:30 CET, with the stadium opening at 18:30 CET. Around 3,000 fans from Dortmund will be in Bochum to support BVB. We have compiled the relevant information for you below.

Transport

Cars / minibuses / buses 

Take the "Stadion" exit off the A40 and turn left directly at the exit into the "Stadionring" multi-storey car park, which is exclusively available to away fans.

The parking fee for cars is €4. Payment is cashless only without a parking ticket via a number plate recognition system. Buses and minibuses can park in the car park next to the multi-storey car park. The fee for this is €10.

Local public transport

From the main station, take underground line 308/318 towards Gerthe/Schürbankstraße and get off at the Planetarium stop. The journey time is 3 minutes. The fare is included in your match ticket.

The Vonovia-Ruhrstadion can be reached on foot from Bochum main station in approximately 20 minutes. When leaving the main station, keep right and follow the Ostring past the high-rise hotel (Park Inn), turn right onto Castroper Straße, go past the Kirmesplatz and cross over the next major intersection. You will find the away sector in the first corner of the stadium (West). Important info: Construction work is currently taking place around Castroper Straße, which renders it necessary to alter the route. Please check the current status with the police upon arrival at the main station.

Admission

  • The stadium opens at 18:30 CET.
  • Access to the away sector is via the west entrance (Eingang West).

Permitted fan paraphernalia:

  • Flags with a pole length of up to 1.50 metres 
  • Fence and fan club flags, provided space is available
  • 5 swivel flags – only in standing block E1
  • 5 drums (registered in advance)
  • 2 megaphones (registered in advance) 

Forbidden fan paraphernalia:

  • Double holders
  • Block flags
  • Pyrotechnics of any kind
  • Fluids, bottles
  • Cameras with removable lenses

Further info on admission:

  • Print@home tickets must be carried in paper form. Tickets cannot be scanned on your mobile phone at the entrance.
  • People who are visibly very intoxicated and stand out as being drunk may be denied entry into the stadium area.
  • Away fans will not be granted entry to the home area, i.e. the Ostkurve, blocks N1, M and M1 plus A-D. 
  • You may bring small bags up to a size of approximately DIN A4 with you into the stadium, however there will be no drop-off point for them. It may therefore be sensible for fans travelling by train to hire a locker at the main train station. 
  • Important info: backpacks and bags that exceed this size are not permitted across the entire stadium premises. There will also not be a drop-off point for them.

Further information

  • Persons with a stadium ban are not permitted to loiter in the area around the stadium.
  • During VfL Bochum games, there is a ban on glass in force in the stadium and the surrounding area. 
  • At this point, we would like to expressly point out that wearing clothing by the "Thor Steiner" brand is not welcome in the Vonovia-Ruhrstadion. The same applies to all other fashion labels with a racist, xenophobic, extremist and/or discriminatory background, even if the provisions of criminal law do not apply.
  • The Bochum Police Department have addressed BVB fans with the following fan letter.

Beer with a reduced alcohol level is served in the away sector.
Only cashless payments with an EC card, credit card or Apple/Google Pay can be made in the stadium.
