Borussia Dortmund will take on Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal quarter-final at 20:45 CET on Wednesday (5/4). Around 4,700 fans from Dortmund will make the trip to Leipzig to support BVB. We have compiled the most important info for all travelling BVB fans below.

Travel

There are currently several construction sites around the stadium that may delay your arrival. We therefore ask you to travel early and make use of the Park & Ride parking spaces and the local public transport network.

Arriving by train:

  • Tickets entitle the holders to use MDV public transport throughout the city (zone 110) for four hours before and four hours after the match. Tram lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 15 run to the stadium (stop "Sportforum Süd" or "Sportforum Ost").
  • You will find further information here.
  • Away fans can take shuttle buses from Leipzig main train station from around 17:15 CET onwards. Buses will run to the stadium (bus stop "Sportforum Nord") from platforms "O" and "P" on the east side of the main station.
  • Once the game has ended, the shuttle buses will then return to the main train station (Kurt-Schumacher-Straße). The departure point for these will again be the stop "Sportforum Nord".

Arriving by car/minibus:

  • There are no parking spaces for cars available at the stadium.
  • On match day, there will be a temporary exclusion zone around an adjacent residential area. Due to the increased traffic volume, there may be considerable travel obstructions around the stadium. For this reason, it is recommended to use the multi-storey car parks, Park + Ride car parks and public transport.
  • Information on Park + Ride car parks can be accessed here.
  • Information on car parks in Leipzig city centre can be accessed here.

Arriving by bus:

  • Visiting fans arriving by bus can get off and on again in the Landauer Brücke/Am Sportforum area. Stewards will be on hand to guide fans to the away sector. During the match, fan buses can park in Cottaweg Straße.
  • Please note the travel instructions in the fan letter from the Leipzig Police Department (see below).
