In his first interview as a Borussia player, new signing Marcel Sabitzer spoke about his transfer to BVB, his impressions of his new club and his objectives in Black & Yellow.

A warm welcome to Dortmund! Why did you decide to move to BVB?
"After my loan with Manchester United, I did a lot of thinking and looked at where I saw my future. When the contact with BVB, the coach, the sporting director and the managing director came about, they expressed their confidence in me and gave me a very good feeling. For me it was then a question of time until I accepted. Now I'm very happy that everything worked out so quickly."

What strengths can the BVB fans look forward to?
"I think that I'm physically strong and have a good shot. Tackling and intelligence can also be attributes that set me apart. In addition, I'm very ambitious and mentality-driven. I am a very bad loser and think that I am a very good fit for BVB with my virtues and my characteristics."

You've already played against BVB often in your career. What sets the club apart in your opinion?
"The city and fans live the club here. That's a very good fit for me and I want the energy to transfer from me to the stands. The stadium is an absolute crowd-puller, it's very special. There's a lot in store for me and I can't wait to play in the stadium."

Now you're going straight on the USA Tour. What are your goals in Black & Yellow?
"I want to arrive as soon as possible, get to know the lads and build up a good connection with them. That's very important for me, we need a good team chemistry. In addition, I want to lead the way, play many games and help the team to be successful. When you're a Borussia Dortmund player, you need to strive for the maximum. I'm ready to fight for the championship and the cup."
