"There is both good and bad news," was how BVB coach Edin Terzic started his update on the personnel situation at the press conference ahead of the match against Bayern Munich (Saturday at 18:30 CET).

Sebastien Haller, whose ankle injury had flared up again in February, has been able to train fully with the team over the past 14 days and is available for the match against Bayern.

Julian Ryerson had a spell on the sidelines before the international break due to dermatitis. The defender nonetheless linked up with the Norway national team and returned to action for them.

Gregor Kobel had to miss training recently due to a stomach bug. "But he's already feeling better," said Terzic ahead of his goalkeeper's return to the squad. A decision will be made after the final training session as to whether he will be able to play on Saturday.

Ramy Bensebaini has returned from the Algerian national team with a medial collateral ligament injury. "He doesn't need an operation, but will have to wear a splint for the next few weeks. It is very unlikely that he will be able to play again this season," said Terzic.

Marcel Sabitzer is still suspended due to his red card from the game in Bremen and will not be available. (cr)
