Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund have loaned Ansgar Knauff, 20, to Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Knauff has made five brief appearances for the BVB first team this season and also played eight times, scoring one goal, for the reserves in the third tier.

"Ansgar is a talent from our own youth academy who already brings a lot to the table. He approached us to state his wish to get more playing time on loan. We would like to offer him this chance to continue his development at a high level. We wish Ansgar every possible success; we will stay in close contact and follow his games closely," said Sebastian Kehl, the head of the player department.

The loan will end on 30 June 2023. Obligations or options have not been agreed.
