Between 15 and 20 November, we are asking BVB fans and people from the area to donate clothes in the form of caps, scarves, gloves and sleeping bags at the BVB Fan World during its normal opening hours. All the items collected will then be handed over to the Dortmund Gast-Haus initiative.

The harsh, cold season is just around the corner. For people on the poverty line and homeless people in particular, the coming weeks and months can therefore become particularly gloomy, dark and frosty. Under this year's Christmas motto "Borussia lights up", we are asking everyone to donate warm items of clothing. The items can be dropped off at the Fan World right next to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. Important note: please only donate caps, scarves, gloves and sleeping bags!

These donations will then be handed over to "Gast-Haus" – a Dortmund-based initiative that aims to help the homeless and is one of the most important points of contact for homeless people in our city.

The Dortmund association has been caring for and supporting homeless men and women in Dortmund since 1995. Homeless people in Dortmund can turn to the initiative's staff for help with all manner of concerns and rely on a wide range of assistance from them. In addition to social contact, face-to-face discussions and advice from the initiative's volunteers, Gast-Haus also offers visitors free food and regular medical hours.

BVB and its "leuchte auf" foundation have already repeatedly supported and promoted the important commitment of the homeless initiative in many forms – both financially and with food and other donations.

It is precisely because of the massive and still ongoing social restrictions caused by the pandemic that the volunteers and employees of such institutions are grateful for help of any kind.
